From Conversation
to Completion
Every project follows the same disciplined path — whether a soft goods refresh or a full widebody completion. The timeline varies; the rigour does not.
Discovery & Brief
Weeks 1–4We begin with a conversation — not a sales pitch. We learn how you use your aircraft, who flies with you, what frustrates you about the current cabin, and what you've seen in other interiors that resonated. We discuss materials, mood, function, and timeline. This is a listening phase.
Concept Design
Weeks 4–10Our interior designer produces initial concept sketches, mood boards, and preliminary layouts. We explore 2–3 cabin configurations, each reflecting different interpretations of your brief. Materials are suggested, not yet selected. The concept phase is iterative — we refine until the direction feels inevitable.
Detailed Design & Materials
Weeks 10–20Concept becomes specification. Every surface is defined — veneer species, leather grade, metal finish, carpet weave, stone selection. Full 3D renderings are produced. Physical material samples are presented at our Copenhagen workshop for touch, weight, and light evaluation. Engineering review begins in parallel.
Engineering & Certification
Weeks 16–30 (overlapping with design)Our structural engineer and certification specialist manage the regulatory pathway. Modifications are engineered for flight loads. Materials undergo FAR 25.853 flammability testing. Where required, we initiate the Supplemental Type Certificate process with EASA or FAA.
Build & Installation
Varies by scopeThe aircraft is inducted into our Kastrup workshop. Existing interior is carefully removed if refurbishing. Installation proceeds in a precise sequence: structure first, then systems, then finish work. Our project manager conducts quality checkpoints at each stage. The workshop is closed to outside visitors during build — the first person to see the finished cabin is you.
Inspection & Delivery
Final weekFinal quality inspection by our team, followed by regulatory conformity inspection. Then the moment we work toward: you walk through the cabin for the first time. Our project manager guides the walkthrough, explaining every decision, every material, every detail. Any final adjustments are addressed before the aircraft returns to service.
Typical Timelines
- Soft Goods Refresh
- 3–8 weeks
- Interior Refurbishment
- 14–24 weeks
- Full Completion
- 6–18 months
- Green Widebody
- 12–24+ months
Timelines vary by aircraft size, scope, and material lead times. We provide a detailed schedule at the conclusion of Phase 2.
